One day an instructor offered some concrete explanation to clarify his assertion to students who major in business administration.
An instructor told in front of students.
“Well, It’s a quiz for you.”
He put out a big jar under the table and put down on it.
And then he began putting fist-sized stones into the jar.
After the jar is full of stones, he asked.
“Is this jar full up?”
Students answered unanimously.
“Yes.”
Then, he asked.
“Really?”
He held a handful of gravestones under the table.
And then he shook the jar to put gravestones in it.
After the jar is filled with gravestones between the fist-sized stones, he asked again.
“Is this jar full up?”
Students answered in a surprise,
“Well.”
“All right”, told the instructor.
He put out a sand bag under the table again.
He put sand into the jar to fill the gap. He asked again.
“Is this jar full up?”
Students answered.
“No.”
“That’s it.” Told the instructor.
He put out a tea kettle and poured the water into the jar.
And then he asked the whole class.
“What is the point of this experiment ?”
A student raised a hand immediately and answered.
“Even though you are so busy, you can manage a new thing with your effort.”
“No.” denied the time management expert at once.
“That’s not the point. This experiment tells us like this.”
