This may seem a piece of cake but a very useful technique in

I will explain in easy terms as this lecture
is made for Flash beginners.
First, select Brush tool to draw simply the picture above. |
 |
Timeline is adjusted as follows. After pushing
gradation circle, press F8 to register it as a symbol.
You will see above that Layer 7 is a symbol filled with round
gradation, and Layer 9 is a background. |
Now Ctrl + X, and add one layer (Layer 8 - at
the top). Select the blank space in the top layer and select
Ctrl + Shift + V to copy to the existing location.
Now double click on Layer 8 in timeline to select Guide and
select with Guide the circle below. |
 |
Give motion tweening to Layer 7 as in the picture
above. The method is that while holding down key frame with
mouse, press Alt and drag towards the right side.
Next, locate the layer of frame number1 at the far left of the
guideline.
Place frame number 38 at the far right of the layer (if you
cannot make it, try again after pressing snap).
You find something awkward when you execute Test Movie (Ctrl
+ Enter).
Look at the top circle again.
Move the center of the circle upward. Select the circle and
move it downward so that the center of the circle comes at the
uppermost summit of the circle. |
 |
Then execute the second layer that was given
motion tweening until the circle comes to the protruding part
in the center. Press F6 to insert key frame there.
After that, double click the center of tweening to adjust that
as done in the picture above. |
 |
Give the same option as in the previous window
to the front and back part.
Make sure you check Orient to path direction.
Put Easing to the far right side. Check the same option between
the second and the third key frame.
Try Test Movie again. This time you will see the movement follows
only the outline of background. |
